We are glad to announce the international conference on Cultural Heritage Entrepreneurship, Cultural and Heritage Tourism, Sustainable, Green and Responsible Tourism, Sustainable Heritage Management, Economics and Sociology, Cultural and Creative Industries, Heritage Interpretation and Communication, Archaeology, History, Ethnology in the Black Sea area will take place on June 8th-9th 2023 in Tulcea, Romania.

The conference is organized in frame of the project BSB/831 ”Establishing Long-Lasting Partnerships to Upgrade Heritage-Based Offers and Create New Investment Opportunities in Tourism and the Cultural and Creative Industries at UNESCO Designated Areas in the “Black Sea Basin” (HERiPRENEURSHIP) belonging to the ENPI CBC BLACK SEA JOP PROGRAMME 2014-2020.

The BSB/831 Project HERIPRENEURSHIP is co-financed by the European Commission and includes partners from 6 countries: Greece, Bulgaria, Romania, Georgia, Moldova and Turkey funded by the ENPI at 92% and national contribution by 8% of the Project budget).

The aim of the International Conference “Sustainable Tourism, Heritage Management and the Cultural and Creative Industries: Creating new investment opportunities at places of cultural significance” is to overview trends in tourism, digital culture and heritage entrepreneurship as a driver for socio-economic development, gain a common attitude towards latest challenges in tourism heritage management, also under a climate change perspective, explore the powers of the Cultural and Creative Industries for Sustainable Tourism and and develop links among academics, policy makers and practitioners who have common research agendas, disseminate research results from the BSB/831 HERiPRENEURSHIP Project and other European projects and initiatives, stimulate new ideas and tools for digital culture, green and responsible tourism, heritage interpretation and cultural communication.

The 2023 HERiPRENEURSHIP Hybrid Conference will be presented using the Zoom web conferencing platform. It will be organised in presentations, of about 10-15 minutes each, in separate Sessions, grouped by topic.

GUIDELINES FOR AUTHORS

All abstracts and papers must be written in English and metric (SI) units shall be used. The conference proceedings will be published in an accredited Publishing House in Romania and will be indexed in Central and Eastern European Online Library, EBSCO Host Research Databases and Scopus.

In order to be published, all papers should be presented during the conference.

The time allowed for the presentation of individual papers is 10 minutes

Hybrid Conference

The 2023 HERiPRENEURSHIP Conference will be presented using the Zoom web conferencing platform. The final conference program will be published one week before the conference together with Zoom meeting links for each session and subsequent moderated discussions. All the registered participants will have free access to all the sessions of the conference.

To enter a Zoom meeting just click on the provided link, select “Open Zoom meetings” and “Join with Computer Audio”. It is not necessary to have a Zoom account or download the Zoom App, the meeting will open automatically in the browser.

English will be the official language of the HERiPRENEURSHIP Conference.

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

Prospective authors are invited to submit an up to 300 words abstract before 24th of March 2023.

FULL PAPER SUBMISSION

Papers should be written in English, and are in Word file. The manuscript will be sent via email at: support@heripreneurship.eu info@fudmn.ro

a) the text: use Word for Windows, 1.0-line spaced throughout, Times New Roman font of the following sizes:

  • title, author, text – 10;
  • footnotes – 9;
  • abstract (English) – 10.

b) the illustrations:

  • if linear, in 2 shades (black and white), minimum resolution 300 dpi;
  • if photographic (black and white or colour) scanned in *.jpg or *.tiff format, minimum resolution 300 dpi.

Consecutively numbered footnotes will follow the British footnotes referencing system: author, year of publication, page, and figure/table, if applicable (e.g.: Pippidi 1967, 84, fig. 3/4). An annex will be added at the end with the list of publications in alphabetic order according to the name of the author, and chronologically in case of several publications of one author.

Cited works will be listed as follows:

  • for books: name of the author, year of publication, title, volume (number and title), edition, series (collection), number in the series or collection, city of publication.

Eidinow, The Oxford Classical Dictionary (OCD), 4th ed., Oxford 2012. Any other abbreviations aside from the foregoing paper will be presented explicitly, at the end of the cited works page.

The abstract, written both in English will be added at the beginning of the article. The manuscript must also be accompanied by keywords and the explanation of the figures in English.

The maximum size of illustrations – drawings – must correspond to the mirror of an A4 page, except for maps, plans, profiles or tables that are made in sizes or formats that don’t fit the page to be comprehensible to the reader. In case the figures don’t cover an entire page their size exceeds the page mirror, then the author shall specify, using a pencil on the margin of the drawings the desired downscaling ratio. For a figure made of drawings at different scales, the author shall specify the scale used for each drawing.

Contributions sent for publication to the volume shall be accompanied by data regarding each author’s institutional affiliation and contact information.

The deadline for the full paper submission is 30 April 2023.

Full paper (min 8 pages) should be written in English, formatted according to the provided template and submitted as a doc (or docx) file format.

The corresponding author will be notified of full paper acceptance by 15 May 2023

INSTRUCTIONS FOR PRESENTATIONS AND DISCUSSION

All papers will be presented orally.

English should be used both for presentations and ensuing discussions.

Each presentation should take approximately 15 minutes, followed by a round table discussion with the entire panel.
